Bowhunting Record-Book Caribou Bulls – Eskimo StyleCamp Verde, Texas (March 1, 2006) – World-renowned bowhunter Tink Nathan is pleased to release another amazing video, now in DVD format. Bowhunting Record-Book Caribou Bulls is a must for anyone interested in pursuing big game with a bow. This video was originally filmed on location near Fort Chimo on the Ungava Peninsula in Quebec. Filmed during the late 1980’s, the video chronicles several hunts by Tink, and his guest Denise Laux. This video is far more than a
compilation of preening celebrities and methodical
kill shots. This video is entertaining, informative,
and includes multiple stalks. You can almost feel
the salt spray as you skip across the icy northern
waters in a 24’ freighter canoe while Tink and the
guides scan the shores for caribou. You can nearly
smell the lichen and moss; the earthy smell of the
mucky beaches and wet rocks at low tide. You can
hear the clicking of their hooves as the caribou
trot across the low hillsides. You can feel the
thrumming of the Twin Otter as it skirts the coast,
and then the jostle as it finally bumps along the
dirt landing strip. The movie
provides a lot of insight regarding the Inuit people
and their culture. You learn about Tink’s guides,
and get to know them as you follow the hunts. There
is valuable info about the Quebec-Labrador caribou –
from biology and nomenclature, to habits and food
sources. There are beautiful scenic shots, and the
viewer gets to see a variety of the terrain that can
only be found that far north. Tink provides tips on
field-judging and the scoring of caribou racks; and
of course – various methods of bowhunting these
majestic beasts. For those fond of wetting a line
now and then, there is even some footage showing
some fantastic fishing! Follow
Denise as she makes her first caribou kill – a book
bou, at that! You’re also there for her 2nd
caribou kill – another great segment that will have
you leaning towards the TV. You tag along with Tink
on a number of stalks – some he comes up
empty-handed, and two stalks where he connects in a
big way! The finale of the film is his second bull;
the viewer gets to see Tink set an ambush, and later
watch as a World Record Bull tumbles amongst the
rocks and unique tundra vegetation. Whether you
are a novice, or seasoned bowhunter, you will be
sure to enjoy this great video. The video retails
for around $20.00 and can be ordered directly from
Tink’s Adventurevision Studios. For more information, contact Tink’s Adventurevision Video Studios, Inc. at : P.O. Box 294209, Kerrville, TX 78029 Tinknathan@att.net , or visit the website at www.Tinks.tv |
