Bowhunting Elephant and Cape Buffalo in East AfricaCamp Verde, Texas (March 1, 2006) – World-renowned bowhunter Tink Nathan is pleased to release another amazing video, now in DVD format. Bowhunting Elephant and Cape Buffalo is a journey to the Africa that we all dream about. Exotic, dangerous, and teeming with wildlife; accompanied by trackers and professional hunters; the beautiful scenery and racket of birds and small animals. This video was originally filmed on location near the Selous Region of Tanzania. Filmed during November 1987, the video portrays Tink’s adventures while on safari in eastern Africa. This video is a hunting video,
not just a record of kills. You get to see blown
stalks, missed shots, and you are right there when
arrows do successfully find their mark. This film
includes a peek into camp life, tips on camo, and
details Tink’s methods of preparing for the day’s
hunt. You can almost feel the African dust in your
mouth as you follow Tink on his stalks. You can
sense the pounding adrenaline as the group gets
charged by a three-ton hippopotamus. You’ll get to
see a successful, single-arrow, frontal shot on a
Cape Buffalo. Tink’s
adventures don’t end at hunting big game. The party
has a run-in with ivory poachers. Tink finds himself
stuck in a tree at the edge of a gun battle, as the
game wardens tangle with the poachers. The viewer
gets a great sense of the awesome beauty and
desolation that is Africa; Tink is careful to
include insight into the local culture, and
interaction with his Professional Hunter, guides,
and trackers. You’ll see fantastic footage of eland,
zebras, warthogs, and hartebeests – you’ll even see
a great sequence that includes a friendly, baby
wildebeest! Follow Tink
as he is winded by a large bull elephant. Then along
with his PH and trackers, he makes a five-mile stalk
on an elephant that is now alert and nervous. The
pursuit culminates in a near-perfect, fatal shot.
They find the bull down only 20 yards away – dead
from a single arrow. Witness the successful hunter
hoisted onto the shoulders of the jubilant
villagers, as he returns into camp. Tall grass,
simmering sun, and waterholes – this is Africa,
indeed. Whether you
are an enthusiastic bowhunter, or simply a rifle
hunter that longs to go (or to return) to the Dark
Continent, you will be sure to enjoy this great
video. The video retails for around $20.00 and can
be ordered directly from Tink’s Adventurevision
Studios. For more information, contact Tink’s Adventurevision Video Studios, Inc. at : P.O. Box 294209, Kerrville, TX 78029 Tinknathan@att.net , or visit the website at www.Tinks.tv
